YOUNG REVIEWERS: ” FREEDOM WRITERS ”
A young teacher, Mrs Gruwell, who believes in respect and freedom for all the people, decides to work at the Wilson High School.
More precisely, she chooses to teach to a ” weird class “, that’s the name the other teachers and the school principal gave to the class because it was only for students with familiar, economical or social problems.
Mrs Gruwell teachs in this class from the first to tha third year and she builds a great friendship with her students.
The main topic of the film is racism and discrimination.
I liked this film a lot, because it was so interesting and captivating.

In this film there are some students who have had varius problems with gangs.
There is a teacher who gradually manages to win the students’ trust and to be told everything.
At the end of the film the students celebrate because the teacher will stay with them for all High School.
I liked this film because it is about the difference between people and tells the troubles of these young boys and girls.

I liked this movie so much because I was very exited about the story and I also liked how the students in the class were able to understand the positive side of life thanks to the teacher.
She listened to them and she made them feel important for the first time in their life.

Among the films we watched at school this is my favourite, is looks very realistic and well done.
The film is about these teenagers who live in America and are divided into groups by race or nationality and they fight and kill for this reason.
At school they are in competition, but thanks to a new teacher they understand equality and respect.
It’s a very nice and interesting film.

I loved the film because it ends well. I think that the plot is really beautiful and one thing I really liked was the link between the teacher and the students.
I didn’t like when the teacher’s husband left her, but she was very fond of the students and they loved her.
